72 Note Sankyo Orpheus Movement
zoom( 19cm long, 7.5cm wide, 3.5cm high ) Tune DescriptionThis beautiful movement contains 72 notes on its comb, or 72 teeth if you will, and beautifully plays three songs composed by Peter S. Tchaikovsky. Two of these pieces are from the "Nutcracker" while the other piece is from a children's book of music that he had written earlier, called "Album for the Young". Every time I hear this particular movement playing, I think of pleasant days gone by about my happy childhood under the Christmas tree."Waltz of the Flowers" and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" are from the "Nutcracker". The third song is the "Solders March". When you listen to this movement, you will find the melody lines are very accurate. The "Soldiers March" is really cute and has a lilting tone. As for the musical movement itself, the movement is scrumptious. If you have ever seen an antique music box, you will love this particular musical movement. Also, the arrangement of the music itself, is very good. Whoever buys this movement is sure to be pleased and not disappointed. Once you have heard this for yourself, I think that you'll agree with me. 72 Note MovementThis kind of Sankyo movement plays two or three tunes (or parts) and is made in Japan. There are 72 notes (or "teeth") on the comb. There is a lot of bass sound in the comb, and the arrangements are usually very spectacular in nature. It is one of the nicer movements made today, and we optimize it so it will play even better. |
