72 Note Sankyo Orpheus Movement
zoom( 19cm long, 7.5cm wide, 3.5cm high ) Tune DescriptionThis one sounds more like a French-style movement. There is a delicate quality about the music, yet the melody line is still clear. When Gounod wrote the main melody in this piece, he used Bach's Prelude as an accompaniment. So now we have two composers working together. It looks as if someone else wrote the text for “Ave Maria", and gave it that name. Now as for Schubert’s version, I don't know if he wrote the text to go with it, or if it was added later. However, the music he wrote is absolutely beautiful. Of course, one must consider that Schubert wrote so many German songs that there may have been many reasons for this composition. Whatever the case, this musical arrangement is very lovely indeed. This particular movement demonstrates how intricate music box arrangements can be. This is true of both the Gounod piece and the Schubert piece. The Bach Choral, too, is a very nice arrangement. The melody line is clearly heard along with the accompaniment. 72 Note MovementThis kind of Sankyo movement plays two or three tunes (or parts) and is made in Japan. There are 72 notes (or "teeth") on the comb. There is a lot of bass sound in the comb, and the arrangements are usually very spectacular in nature. It is one of the nicer movements made today, and we optimize it so it will play even better. |
