If you're buying a 100 note movement you save even more. We normally charge $60 for two comb adjustments and $120 to redamper two 50 note movements. We inspect the cylinder to make sure that the pins are in proper contact with the comb, and that the teeth are struck precisely at the right time. We are able to make fine adjustments to the comb and other parts. This assures optimal performance. The result is that our movements have more precise timing and are louder and brighter. All the notes of a chord are struck at precisely the same moment (unless the arranger intended it to be an arpeggio). Once in a while, our adjustments will also eliminate unwanted sounds.
